Starting from humble beginnings as a group of volunteers known as the "Flagler Alerts", the West Palm Beach Fire Department has grown to be 250+ members strong. We provide Fire Service, Emergency Medical Services, Hazardous Materials Mitigation, and Technical Rescue Response to 58 square miles and over 200,000 residents and daily commuters, as well as surrounding communities through mutual aid agreements.

As members of the community, your Firefighter/Paramedics take every opportunity to impact the lives of the residents of West Palm Beach. Through toy drives, charity events, and humanitarian projects West Palm Beach Firefighter/Paramedics leave a lasting impact. We strive to not only be there in your time of greatest need, but also be a neighbor you can count on.

We respond to widely diverse call types, including medical, hazardous materials, technical rescue, and others. We also respond to a diverse population and strive for cultural competency and a diverse workforce. As an organization the West Palm Beach Association of Fire Fighters is always striving to be as diverse as the population we serve.
